Ephesians 1: His very own.

Ephesians 1:4 says, “For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.”

Everyone has their own recollection about never getting picked or chosen for [sad school story here]. I was always the one in elementary school who always hated playing kickball. Therefore I would never try; therefore no one would ever choose me to be on their team. It’s not the best feeling ever. But, the reality is, the King of the Universe who breaths life into existence is the same God who chose you.

you are worth it.

This fact should plunge you into the next day with confidence and purpose.

But why? Why would such a perfect God choose me, you, or anyone?

“Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5
[God the Father speaking]

Let those sweet words speak peace into your weary heart.
Everyone wants to feel wanted and be known.

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that remains, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.” -John 15:16 [Jesus Speaking]

You are chosen.
You are called.

Called to go out into your life, knowing your worth, to bear fruit for Jesus. In other words, glorify Him with your life because He says your worth it.

If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you. John 15:19

When Jesus died on the Christ and we accept Him as Savior of our lost souls, He pulls us out of the world. Not literally, although our forever home is not in this world.
He pulls us out of our sin and sets us in the heavenly realms with Him. He breaks the chains of addiction and sin, of depression and anxiety. We never have to worry about sin defeating and capturing our soul. We are HIS.

Beloved, He loves you enough to rescue you.
You are not forgotten. Despite what sin and guilt tells you, the God who loves you and made you, also chose you to be wih Him eternally. Accept it and find youself.

You don’t have to figure out who you are anymore. You are His. You are a daughter or son of the King, King Jesus!

I will leave you with this..

“But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.” -2 Thessalonians 2:13
