iAmThankful Picture Journey!

Give thanks to The Lord, for He is good and His loyal love endures! ~Psalm 118:1

The trees are changing colors and the leaves are falling. The weather is sunny and the air, brisk. It’s November! I have to say that Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Not only because plaid, pumpkins, and a big scarf are three of my best friends but because in a few weeks, I will be able to devour a juicy turkey and it’s stuffing for about a week straight. I love food.

It is also popular this season to express our gratitude for the things in our lives that we love.

That is why each day this month I’m going to post a picture with my iPhone (easy peasy) with the things, people, and places that I am thankful for! It will be a fun journey and also, I will be able to look back on it!
I call it iAmThankful!

Ever since I met my -now- husband, God has given me a heart full of gratitude. I never deserved such an awesome husband and I think that sparked something in me to see all that God has given me despite the fact that I did nothing to deserve it. Oh, His grace!!!
I don’t know exactly why He chose that time but it has caused me to praise and thank Him for ALL He has given me even when things are going bad, or rather, not as I would have planned.

Having a heart of thanksgiving enables us to look outside ourselves, to realize that there is good in our lives and to realize who it comes from–our loving Father! Being grateful has helped me to worship God in a more real way because now my heart is set on how great Heis, not how great or not so great my circumstances are!

With that said, I think it is fitting that for
Day One of iAmThankful, to show my thankfulness for my HUSBAND!!! What a joy He is. I never knew such an awesome person existed. I really believe that God made Him just for me! He has the best/my sense of humor, is such a blessed child of God, a man of great integrity, and succeeds at everything He does… oh, and is the BEST at Ping Pong.

Now, I want to know what YOU are thankful for! Thinking of all the things you are thankful for makes it hard notnot be happy! I’m so thankful for a God who puts thanksgiving on our tongues and joy in our hearts!
