Day 10&11 of iAmThankful “Faithful Father”

I believe that Sunday is quite possibly the shortest day of the week. I was unable to post the Day 10 so I am doubling up today! 🙂

As I have been journeying through the Old Testament, I am reminded over and over again of God’s faithfulness to us even when we are most unfaithful. {If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself. -2 Timothy 2:13}

Day 10 & 11 of iAmThankful, I am thankful for a God who is FAITHFUL!

He is with us even though we turn our backs on Him.

He loves us even when we are so unloving.

He takes care for us when we think we can do it ourselves.

He comforts us when we fall and when we are broken.

He restores us when the paths we chose were not His own.

He defends us though sometimes we go against Him.

He always love, always comforts, always provides.

Even when we don’t see Him or hear Him. He is always there.

We can hope in the God who lead a rebellious nation out of slavery and captivity. {Deuteronomy 9:7} We can trust a God who had mercy on them even when they turned away from Him- the true God only to worship no living false gods. {Exodus 32:32} We can believe that the God who restored and loved that sinful people over and over and over again will always restore and love us because we are that rebellious nation. Just like sheep, some wander from the flock yet our Faithful Shepherd will leave his entire flock of sheep just to go rescue that one tiny careless little sheep and bring it back to it’s home. {Luke 15:3-6}

That is the God I serve. The most Faithful One. The one who will never leave your side through the break up, the family issues, the loneliness, the job problems, the cancer, the broken home, the losses… And all the good!

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8:38,39

I pray that you can rest in this truth. No matter what you are going through, He is always with you and He is so very faithful to lead you through it all!
