But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. {Matthew 28:5, 6 ESV}

He is alive! My hope, Jesus is alive!
Death could not keep him!
Hell could not hold him!

My husband and I woke up before sunrise this morning, pulled out our lawn chairs and went to sit in the drive way to have our own little sunrise service. As the sun was rising, we remembered and read about the
Son who rose!

Friends, we don’t believe in a dead, lifeless being. I serve a LIVING God who once died to save but is now a Reigning King and He lives to give you LIFE!

Let God breath life into you today.

He is ALIVE! Forever!

*Living on Purpose

The split second you entered this world, crying and gasping for air, you were on a mission. Eat, sleep, breathe. Survive. If your heart is beating and there is breath in your lungs, you exist. Of course.

But are you living?

Think about it. Are you truly living your life every day with a purpose? Intentional purpose?

Have you even thought about this? Have you had time between school or work and life to stop and think?
That word…Time

If we know we have purpose, do we have time for that purpose?
Are our hours filled with to-do lists and quick paced living that we don’t even have time to live out our purpose?

Do we make time?

I do not want to come to the end of my life and have to think about what my purpose was and regretfully wonder if there was more to this life, more to living.

I want to fully live in every moment. I want to know my purpose and live it out. I want to love my husband every second of every day and never get too busy to kiss him. I desire to be able to teach, love, and guide my future children into truly living and experiencing God in every moment. I never want to miss out on life. On my purpose.

What is our purpose?

Some say working and providing. Some say loving God and living for Him. Some say raising their children in a Christ-like manner. Some say helping their husband. Some say teaching others. Some say to just take up space, pay taxes, and repopulate. Some say doing good things. Some say glorify God.

God created each one of us. {Genesis 2:7} He created every single soul on the planet. He created the believer and the unbeliever. Therefore, I believe our Creator gave us all one universal purpose. To glorify Himself. I also believe He gives us each individual goals and purposes. {Psalm 139:16}

Are you living on purpose or just existing, taking up space?

Are you living out your purposes or are your minutes and hours spent trying to hurry to the next day, the next class, the end of the work day?

Maybe you don’t even know what your purpose is. Beloved, Seek God. Slow down and seek God. He is truth and holds your future in His hands. {Matthew 7:7}

When I am old and grey, I want to be able to smile and know that even in this selfish fast-paced culture, I experienced God in every moment and that every one of my life moments had purpose.

Living life on purpose.
Living intentionally.
Being aware of what God is doing and where He is.

My Purpose: not missing God. Experiencing Him and thanking Him. Thanking Him for each blessing, each gift, each terrifying and beautiful event in this short story. Thanking Him for His never-ending, timeless LOVE…

Then, sharing it with others.

Can I challenge you to something?

Look for God today. Search for Him. By experiencing Him, you find your purpose. Live in your every moment and thank Him for each one. He is giving them all to you.

Listen friend, It’s not something that happens like the flip of a switch. It takes intent. It takes you and I slowing life down, figuring out what is important to us in this life, each blessing from God, and acting on it.

We were given this life to live. Not to fumble about, day by day, merely existing, wandering around in our mundane living.

Jesus entered this planet, taught and healed then died. After dying with His hands clenching our sin, He beat and overcame death so that WE COULD LIVE abundantly!

Let’s not miss this!

You say, “I can’t live abundantly. I don’t even enjoy life. So many things are wrong.”

Friend, run full force into the arms of the One who has a beautiful purpose and plan for your life. Don’t let circumstances keep you from experiencing true life.. Real living.

Let Him in. He is already there, knocking. Open the door and receive Life.

May we be able to say at the end of our lives, “I experienced life. I experienced purpose. I experienced God. I used every moment God gave me and was thankful for every single obvious blessing and even the blessings in disguise.”

“..I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”
-Jesus Christ in John 10:10b

Jesus alone gives abundant living and purpose to those who believe and ask.

A change in scenery…

We have all been there. Walking through life, same issues everyday.
Mundane. To-do list living.
I never thought I’d get out of this time of my life.
The seemingly never-ending journey I was walking through.
It was hard and lonely. At times, I thought it would never improve.
But at my lowest, when I let go and let God, it was as if He picked me up and set me on a completely different path of life.

Purpose, joy, strength.

The wilderness I was trudging through for so long was tiring but now, strength I had been gaining through it all was now revealing itself. Everything fit. Everything made a bit more sense. Every season in our life has to happen. And all for good reasoning. Romans 8:28 states, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
We may not realize it then, but it is in the tough times that God is refining us and molding us into who we need to be for the next season in our lives. I know now that my faith needed to be refined as much as it hurt. [1 Peter 1:7]

I am more than ecstatic to pronounce that I am now engaged to the man of my dreams and am learning day by day how much God truly loves me. It took those lonely, sometimes scary moments in my life to remind me that God really does have a divine purpose for each and every one of my days!

God desires for us to desire Him. To enjoy life. To receive and be thankful for His blessings. He longs to bless us. [Isaiah 30:18] [psalm 115:13]

Luke 11:9 says, “I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Don’t let this season of your life tell you God doesn’t care or that He isn’t there.
You may not know what is next but God does. [psalm 139:6]
And we have full access to Him who planned our days before they began!
Psalm 139:16 says, “Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.”

Each season has a reason. [Ecclesiastes 3:1]

And take courage, there is never a season of your life when God is not right there with you. He promises us many times that He will never leave or forsake us!

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or tremble before them, for the Lord your God is the one who is going with you. He will not fail you or abandon you!”

Matthew 28:20, “..and remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

John 14:18 “I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you.”

Depend on Him! He is able to do exceedingly far more than we can ever imagine. [Ephesians 3:20]

I know from experience that what i was taught in my singleness about God’s provision, faithfulness, plan, and love for me is vital to me to truly believe and live out before I could ever marry someone. I had to find full satisfaction and identity in my relationship with Savior before getting to know someone who I will be relying on to guide me spiritually.

Trust in His love in whatever season you are in.

Seek Him when you don’t know where to go.
Trust Him when you don’t know where you’re at.
Thank Him when He brings you to where you need to be.

If I had given up during the difficult times of my life, I would have never made it to where I am today. I would have never encountered all the blessings I am experiencing now.

When you want to quit because you’re weary and tired, hand over your bags to the source of Strength and take on Jesus. He yoke is easy and His burden is light. [Matthew 11:30]

Keep running the race even when the path seems all uphill. That spiritual muscle you’re gaining is worth it.

You’re not alone and you’re exactly where you need to be.

One day you will look back and praise God, finding out He carried you the whole way.
